References to the Internet are everywhere: in magazines, on television and in the daily newspaper. Yet, many people do not understand what the Internet is and how it can benefit their lives, their businesses and their communities.
The Master Navigator program provides an opportunity for people to learn how to navigate the Internet and use it in their everyday lives, whether it be at home, school, work, or just for fun and learning. Participants will learn how to surf the net, use search engines, learn about email, utilize resources on the Internet, and about different browsers. An optional pre-session is available for participants to learn more about Windows and the features it has available to make working with the Internet more friendly.
The course is taught in a friendly, step-by-step, hands-on approach. Computers are available for each participant to actually use the internet. Classes are fun and exciting as everyone learns together! Participants share their favorite Web sites and enjoy learning about others' hobbies and interests while learning all about the Internet!
Master Navigator consists of four workshops plus the beginning pre-session. Classes typically last three hours and are held once a week. Each participant will receive a detailed notebook which includes topics discussed throughout the course.
